FACILITATOR

Rebekka Francis is an accomplished professional with a rich background in designing and delivering learning and development programs within the health sector. With extensive experience in both private industry and the NHS, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as the Public Engagement Lead for an NHS Integrated Care Board. Since joining the NHS in 2018, Rebekka has focused on health complaints, communications, engagement, and policymaking. In her current position, she spearheads public engagement throughout the NHS commissioning cycle, working collaboratively with various health institutions, researchers, and public engagement professionals.

Rebekka is a firm believer in the importance of patient experiences and their understanding of health and care. She emphasises that these perspectives are essential for ensuring that professionals ask the right questions, design and deliver effective services, and communicate insights and findings to the appropriate audiences in suitable formats. With significant expertise in public engagement, Rebekka is particularly passionate about providing opportunities for diverse and underrepresented groups to participate in health services decision-making. She leads on the operations and delivery of Patient & Public Involvement in health, tirelessly advocating for the inclusion of patient and public voices at all levels of health service decision-making.
