Joint Virtual Masterclass HCUK & CQG
Module 4 CQG
"We must reformulate our governance of Trusts, because governance is the architecture of accountability, and that accountability, Covid has forced us to recognise, is to our populations and not just to our regulators. So, it is clear that this programme is timely indeed. I commend this course to non executives, executives, governors, clinicians and all those interested in the improving the governance of our health and social care systems and partnerships."
David Rogers, Past Chairman, North Staffordshire Combined Health NHS Trust
The overall objective is to build good governance commitment, capacity, and resilience in the face of severe resource constraints and complex staff, patient, political and regulatory expectations. The programme is interactive, developmental, based on best practice and focused on achievable improvement of practice, behaviours and outcomes.
At the completion of this module, the participants will be able to:
Recognise the role of leadership in Governance and the role of the chairperson.
Review the key role of the leadership team in setting the strategic direction and addressing the needs of their local communities and stakeholders.
Consider the various styles of senior managers, chairpersons, and other members of governing bodies.
Apply the learning to the participant’s own organisation using the CGQ Maturity Matrix.
