The course is aimed at demystifying Evidence Based Medicine. It teaches how to assess the quality of studies and crucially if you should implement the study’s conclusions for your patients. The course is based on the book that the course teachers wrote (critical appraisal from papers to patients).
To provide great care, clinicians must have the skills to understand how to read the medical evidence. This course will give you those vital skills. The course is designed for clinicians by clinicians to provide you with an understanding of critical appraisal in a clinically relevant course – with not an ivory tower or elbow patch in sight. Potentially this subject can be dry – but by bringing in the clinical relevance and interactive style for teaching, attendees will come away being enthused to use what they have learnt; be it for their patient care, to help with exams or will come with post-graduate or undergraduate course assignments
