Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Conference Producer to join our dynamic team in our multi-award winning Healthcare Conference Company. As a Conference Producer, you will be responsible for programme initiation, speaker selection and programme development on healthcare topics. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in shaping industry discussions, facilitating knowledge sharing, and bringing together key stakeholders in healthcare. This role reports to our Managing Director.

Responsibilities:

Content Development:

  • Conduct comprehensive research on current trends, challenges, and advancements in the healthcare industry, and with relevant speakers and stakeholders through in-depth research calls/zoom meetings
  • Identify relevant topics, themes, and subject matter experts for conferences
  • Develop and write compelling conference agendas and programmes, clearly aligned to the target audience
  • Develop supporting copy and learning outcomes for each conference
  • Support marketing with audience identification and content creation
  • Support the sponsorship team to boost revenue through identification of relevant potential exhibitors and sponsors
  • Stay updated on the latest regulatory policies, technological innovations, and emerging trends in healthcare to ensure the conference content is relevant, up to date and impactful
  • Deliver rapid turnaround – we run a large number of events so the producer would be working on each agenda for a relatively short period of time, once written is passed on to the team to finalise whilst the producer moves onto the next agenda.

Speaker Identification and Management:

  • Identify and recruit NHS leading speakers, key opinion leaders, practical experts working in the NHS and subject matter experts.
  • Management of speakers post identification is organised by our speaker administration team.
  • Provide a title and supporting bullet point guidance and support to speakers to ensure their sessions are informative, engaging, and aligned with the conference objectives.
  • Manage marketing deadlines and communicate regularly to ensure the conference's success.

Trainee Conference Producer Supervision and Support:

  • Our Managing Director is currently the Senior Conference Producer. This role is in place to support the Managing Director to reduce workload.
  • We have a trainee Conference Producer – this role would oversee and develop that role.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry organisations, associations, and partners to foster collaboration and maximize conference reach.
  • Engage with sponsors, exhibitors, and attendees to understand their needs and ensure their expectations are met during the conference.

Post-Conference Evaluation:

  • Attendance onsite leading the events that the Conference Producer has written and taking notes to improve for future events, reinviting speakers where appropriate
  • Analyse attendee feedback, metrics, and industry feedback to refine future conference programmes and enhance the overall conference experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, event management, business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in conference production, preferably within the healthcare industry. We need the person in this role to be ready to write programmes and develop new topics.
  • In-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry, including current trends, challenges, and regulatory landscape.
  • Strong research and content development skills, with the ability to identify relevant topics and recruit expert speakers.
  • Excellent project management abilities, including planning, organizing, and executing multiple events simultaneously.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Please note at HCUK Group we work as a team and help each other across all roles when needed so the above should not be seen as an exclusive list. We do expect virtual events to continue moving forward alongside our onsite events.
