According to NHS, the three year delivery plan for maternity aand neo natal services includes key commitments for women and families, these include:
Making care safer by consistently implementing best practice, including:
• By 2024, an updated version of the updated Saving Babies Lives Care Bundle – a package of interventions to reduce stillbirth, neonatal brain injury, neonatal death, and preterm birth.
The report also recommends:
Developing and sustaining a culture of safety, learning, and support. There should be a positive safety culture in every maternity and neonatal service, where everyone takes responsibility for safer care and learning, and leaders understand and act based on how it feels for their teams to work at their organisation.
