Liam talked about tips and advice for aspiring Ward Managers. Liam said "Always be kind and remember you are accountable but you are not to blame"

Ali started her talk by asking "What are the current issues for Ward Managers? - Staffing, it's always staffing!"

Ali went on to discuss four behaviours of a compassionate leader - she said "Attending and being present, taking time to listen and focusing on others"

Ali went on to say "This type of leadership is also good for patient care"  "Empathising is important, mirroring and feeling colleagues distress" 

On looking after yourself Ali said "Keep calm, be positive, have fun, go outside, Self Care is really important"

Ali concluded by saying "Speak up and speak out on behalf of your teams"
