Alison's presentation explored a number of issues related to confidence and competence in nurse prescribing in cardiology. She started with a review of non-medical prescribing and then described the importance of competence and confidence when prescribing.
She also discussed the importance of making sure that practice is evidence based and the importance of keeping knowledge and skills up to date. Alison all described the need for audit of prescribing practice.
