Falls Prevention & Management in Older People

Prof Cameron Swift opened today's Falls Prevention in Older People conference with an update on National and International Developments

Cameron updated delegates on the World Guidelines for Falls Prevention which were released in September 2022 and are available here 

The presentation also covered

- the key elements to thinking straight about Falls: Concept, Evidence, Structure, Audit

- Assisted techniques is looking hopeful but we do need more real world data

- Falls in Inpatients, these are the highest risk category

- Audit is absolutely crucial
