Staffing for Safe and Effective Care

News and presentations from today's conference focusing on delivering safe and effective nurse staffing levels and skill mix in practice. This conference will support you to implement the February 2022 RCN Principles for Safe and Effective Care, and adhere to the 2021 RCN Nursing Workforce Standards and ensure evidence-based approaches to effective staffing decisions, taking into account all elements that contribute to safe, effective care and patient experience.

In her presentation Wendy talked about why safe staffing is so important and what the RCN has done to ensure safe and effective staffing.  She discussed results of an RCN survey published in May 2022 which gave a snapshot of what its like on the ground, the survey included over 20,000 repsonses.
